DAY 1: FES TO ATLAS MOUNTAINS AND MERZOUGA DESERT

Sahara Morocco Trips will arrange for a private driver to pick you up from your Fes hotel and bring you to the picturesque mountain resort of Ifrane in the Atlas Mountains. We'll stop at the "Cedar Forest" outside of Azrou, where monkeys occasionally make an appearance. To get apples, we'll have to go to Midelt, a city known for its mineral deposits. After we go across the Ziz Valley, we'll stop at the town of Erfoud, where you may go sight-seeing. Following our souk exploration in Rissani, you'll check into your hotel in the desert town of Merzouga for the night, where you'll be treated to supper and breakfast.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT CAMEL RIDE AND NIGHT IN CAMP

The next day, we get up and head off to explore the Sahara desert. We go about in a 4x4 vehicle in the desert. To hear Gnawa music in Morocco, you travel to the little desert town of Khamlia. The camel ride and camping out in Berber tents among the dunes will be the trip's highlights.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT TO TODGHA GORGE AND DADES GORGES

The adventure continues as you catch the dawn above the Sahara. After breakfast, we'll have a camel ride through the enormous palm grove of Tinerhir and continue on to the Todgha Gorge. Afterwards, we head to the Dades Gorges through the world-famous Rock Canyon, a mecca for rock climbers. You'll be eating and sleeping here tonight.

DAY 4: DADES GORGES TO SKOURA AND OUARZAZATE

Beautiful "Roses Valley" is our destination for today's excursion. Before stopping at Ouarzazate to see the Kasbah of Taourirt, we'll get to take in the stunning vistas of the oasis landscape near Skoura. The area has been designated as a World Heritage Site. Meals and lodging in Ouarzazate are included in this overnight trip.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE TO AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH AND TOUR FINISHES IN MARRAKECH

We begin our day in the walled city in the Atlas Mountains with a typical Moroccan breakfast. Ait Benhaddou, designated a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1987, will be the focus of your journey. Several well-known films, including Gladiator and The Mummy, were shot at this location. You will go via the Tizi n'Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains en route to Marrakesh. Your hotel is where we'll end our trip. This tour may finish in Fes.
